Reports to: Chief Human Resources Officer 

 

General Definition of Work: Performs administrative work assisting with the human resources program and activities, enforcing school division licensure requirements, maintaining and updating files, assisting with staff recruitment, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer.

 

 

Essential Functions:

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting and speaking or hearing and occasionally requires standing and walking; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic)

 

Thorough knowledge of personnel practices and procedures; thorough knowledge of school division personnel rules and regulations; thorough knowledge of regulations regarding the maintenance and updating of licensure files; ability to present ideas effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to apply established policies, practices, and procedures; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, associates, and the general republic. An associate’s or technical degree with coursework in human resources or related field preferable, and considerable experience providing administrative support in a human resources office preferably for an educational institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
