Reports to: Division Coordinator/Principal or designee
General Definition of Work: To support the Early Intervention Reading Initiative (EIRI) by assisting the school division in providing targeted remedial instruction tailored to meet the needs of students performing below grade-level expectations in literacy. To collaborate with classroom teachers and reading specialists in planning and delivering effective, evidence-based lessons that accelerate student learning and align with Student Reading Plan goals. To assist in creating and sustaining positive, literacy-rich learning environments that support the growth and success of identified students.
Essential Functions: Professional Performance

To comply with school and school board policies and regulations

To demonstrate skills in evidence-based reading interventions and progress monitoring

To work cooperatively with school staff members

To work collaboratively with classroom teachers in order to provide appropriate curricula for students

To complete required records and reports promptly and accurately

To maintain an organized and safe environment for students

To perform related duties as assigned
Education and Job Experience: Teacher or former teacher with an endorsement in elementary education preferred
License/Endorsements: Experience in elementary education or reading endorsement preferred
